FAQ

How do I buy your pieces, and how much are they?

I sell my creatures and other items on my website at spookycutes.com/shop. I make everything by hand, and when I have a collection of items ready, I have a small shop update. If you want to know the date/time of a shop update coming up, there are several places you can look: my instagram bio, my “previews” story highlight on instagram, and the home page of my website. Sometimes I will keep my shop page closed until the date/time of the shop update if the shop is currently empty. My instagram handle is @spookycutes.

I will post previews with prices for everything going into my shop at least 24 hours before each shop update. You can find this in my “previews” story highlight on Instagram.


Do you offer worldwide shipping?

No, unfortunately right now I am only accepting orders from and shipping to Canada and the US. I don’t know when I will be opening international shipping back up, but when I can I will make an announcement!


Do you offer local pick up?

No I do not. All orders, no matter where they are going, will be shipped the same way.


Do you take custom orders?

No I do not take custom orders. This includes remaking items. Zero exceptions, sorry!


Can I reserve one of your items if I’m going to miss your shop update?

No, I do not reserve items for people because it eliminates the fairness of having shop updates. There could be someone else waiting for that specific piece to be available once the shop is updated.


Are your items safe for children?

I do not recommend buying a Spookycutes doll or plush creature for children. They are art pieces, most appropriate for adult collectors. They are handmade and are not meant to be played with like childrens toys. Please use your own discretion when purchasing from Spookycutes, but be aware that I do not advise buying my art pieces for children.


When will you be making more of the item I want?

I honestly have no idea. I make what I want, when I want. There is a very good chance the item you want will come back, but it’s impossible for me to give an exact answer as to when.


If I place multiple orders, will you combine the shipping?

US CUSTOMERS: If you place multiple orders going to the same address (the name and address on the order needs to be the same), I will combine the orders in most cases and refund any shipping overages you paid. However, please note that my large dolls will all ship separately and will not be combined. Large dolls will also automatically be shipped via priority mail in the US. If you buy a large doll and a smaller item, I will combine the shipping!

CANADA CUSTOMERS: If you place multiple orders going to the same address (the name and address on the order needs to be the same), I will combine the orders in most cases and refund any shipping overages you paid. What if my package gets lost in the mail or stolen?

It is your responsibility to make sure you are getting packages sent to a safe and secure location, and that you are double checking your address before or after check out to make sure it is correct. I will gladly update an address before shipping an item out to make sure it gets to you safely. If your Spookycutes package is presumably lost or stolen, please contact your local USPS office first to see if they can do anything for you. If your package was stolen, I also recommend filing a police report. These situations happen very rarely and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Canada Customers: If you are having an issue with your package, please contact Canada Post. I ship everything via USPS, which is the United States Postal Service, our country’s national mail service. Once the package leaves the US, it should end up with Canada Post. If you check the tracking and the package is in Canada, there is no longer anything I can do on my end, but please let me know if there are any issues and I’ll do what I can to help find a resolution to the issue.


Do you accept returns and/or exchanges?

I do not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances. HOWEVER, if you mistakenly buy something, and you let me know IMMEDIATELY, I will refund your order as long as I have not shipped the item out yet. Once an item has shipped, I will not accept a return or exchange under any circumstances.


What if I get my doll or mini plush in the mail and it is damaged?

You will need to send me photographic proof of the damage within 24 hours of receiving the item. I quality check each and every piece thoroughly before shipping it out. If there is photographic proof that the damage was done prior to being shipped, we can work something out.


What happens if I damage my Spookycutes doll or mini plush creature?

Any damage done to your new doll or plush creature after you receive it is your responsibility. I do not repair or fix dolls that get damaged once they are in your possession. Please keep your spookycutes items safely away from animals who might potentially damage them. If your Spookycutes doll gets dirty, you can spot clean but do not stick it in a washing machine.


Can I use your designs/patterns?

No, please don’t! I do not make my Spookycutes designs/patterns available for others to use and I really do not want people copying my work! These designs are for my use only, they are original to Spookycutes and are my intellectual property. If you are interested in plush/doll making, I highly encourage you to seek out patterns that are available for public use. There are many doll/plush makers who sell their patterns, I am just not one of them!


How should I contact you?

One of my personal boundaries includes not accepting or responding to DMs on social media platforms - it’s just too chaotic.
